Mia Washington, seorang wanita dari Dallas, Texas, melahirkan bayi kembar yang diberi nama Justin dan Jordan. Saat bayi – bayinya berusia 11 bulan, Mia melihat perbedaan yang sangat besar pada wajah keduanya, meskipun keduanya terlahir hanya berselang tujuh menit.
Untuk menjawab rasa penasarannya, Mia bersama pasangannya, James Harrison melakukan tes DNA / uji paternitas di laboratorium DNA Clear Diagnostics. Hasil tes tersebut menunjukkan bahwa Jordan adalah anak dari James, sementara Justin anak dari pria lain. Dan Mia pun mengakui bahwa ketika tengah mengandung, ia berselingkuh dengan pria lain.
Dari hasil DNA tersebut tetulis bahwa peluang Justin dan Jordan punya satu ayah hanya 0,001 atau 1 : 1.000.000 (satu banding satu juta). “Sungguh di luar dugaan. Hampir semua orang tidak percaya dengan hasil ini. Tapi, kenyataan ini memang bisa terjadi. Kasus seperti ini sungguh sangat langka,” kata Genny Thibodeaux dari Clear Diagnostics.
Menurut Dr. Chris Drelling dari Paediatric Association of Dallas, diduga saat berhubungan dengan James dan selingkuhannya (identitasnya dirahasiakan), Mia sedang berada pada masa ovulasi. Dalam masa tersebut, sel telur yang sudah matang bisa bertahan pada saluran falopi selama 48 jam. Selama kurun waktu itu, dua sperma dari pria berbeda tersebut berhasil membuahi dua sel telur Mia.
Hasil yang mengejutkan itu mengguncang hubungan Mia dan James. Tapi setelah mendengar pengakuan dan permintaan maaf dari Mia, James memaafkan pasangan hidupnya tersebut. James pun bersedia menerima Justin sebagai anaknya sendiri. Untung saja .
Menambahkan posting sebelumnya mengenai service baru dari google yaitu Google Voice, baru-baru ini Google juga baru saja melaunching sebuah service baru bernama Google Latitude.
Google Latitude ini adalah sebuah layanan dari Google yang bisa melacak posisi teman-teman kita lewat Google maps.
Anda hanya perlu mendaftarkan nomor mobile phone anda maka anda bisa memantau ponsel tersebut dimana saja, terutama jika ponsel tersebut dicuri orang :)
Selain itu anda juga bisa add friends sehingga andapun bisa memantau posisi teman-teman anda, asyik bukan ?
Tapi ingat, teknologi seringkali punya dua sisi, dimana sisi pertama kelihatan begitu menarik, hi tech dsb, tapi disisi lain anda juga perlu memikirkan masalah keamanan. Coba bayangkan dengan bergabung di layanan tersebut, berarti anda juga punya kesempatan untuk kehilangan privacy anda, karena anda tidak bisa bersembunyi lagi, jadi cocok bagi anda yang ingin memata-matai pasangan anda :)
Mengenai masalah security ini Google Latitude menuai banyak kritik, tetapi mereka menjawab dengan janji bahwa Google tidak akan menyimpan informasi apapun tentang pergerakan user tersebut, hanya lokasi terakhir yang diambil oleh tracking service yang akan disimpan di Google, kata juru bicara Google.
Tertarik untuk ikutan bergabung di service ini ? Masih belum tau apakah Indonesia sudah termasuk dalam negara yang mendapat service ini, yang jelas di Inggris dan Amerika service ini tersedia gratis.

Google Voice ini adalah sebuah layanan google yang memberi anda sebuah nomor untuk semua kebutuhan telepon anda, voice mail semudah email plus features-features tambahan yang melimpah seperti call block, screening, conference call, international call dsb
Jadi dengan layanan ini anda bisa men-setup sebuah nomor yang akan menderingkan semua nomor telepon yang anda link-kan ke Google Voice anda.
Hebatnya lagi layanan ini akan diluncurkan dengan harga GRATIS !! Tetapi saat ini layanan ini masih dalam taraf uji coba di lingkungan GrandCentral user saja. Kita tunggu saja launching produk ini :)
Kepala Badan Pengawas Obat dan Makanan (BPOM) Husniah Rubiana Thamrin Akib mengatakan pihaknya memerintahkan penarikan produk susu dari Cina yang beredar di pasaran dalam negeri pada Selasa. "Semua produk makanan yang mengandung susu dari China saya minta ditarik dari peredaran dan diamankan. Kita tidak mau ambil risiko," katanya sebelum melakukan rapat dengar pendapat dengan Komisi VIII DPR RI di Jakarta, Selasa.
Tindakan itu, katanya, dilakukan untuk melindungi masyarakat dari kemungkinan mengonsumsi produk susu asal China karena beberapa waktu lalu ditemukan susu formula terkontaminasi melamine--bahan kimia untuk membuat plastik-- di China yang telah mengakibatkan ribuan bayi sakit dan beberapa di antaranya meninggal dunia.

As the country prepares to open the 2008 Summer Olympics in three weeks, Chinese officials have arrested a writer and dissident who was already on probation after being charged a few years ago.
As reported, Du Daobin, 43, who was arrested after published at least 100 articles and essays on several foreign Web sites.
The Chinese government was expected to begin a pre-Olympic campaign against dissent, and Du is the first person to experience the crackdown. Human rights organizations said activists have been detained and arrested to help protect Olympic security, which has caused an uproar among government critics.
Another Internet activist, Huang Qi, was arrested and charged with illegal possession of state secrets after reportedly collecting information regarding children that died in the May 12 earthquake. Huang was reportedly attempting to reveal local government corruption that led to poor engineering of the school.
China has a checkered history of arresting dissidents, journalists and bloggers who speak out against the government and its actions both domestically and internationally. Human rights organizations often butt heads with China over the arrests.

There is a big disaster that happened right now in Iowa USA. Tornadoes killed four people at a Boy Scout camp in Iowa and two others in Kansas as more than 30 twisters ripped through the U.S. Midwest on Thursday, 12th June 2008.
The tornado was one of more than 30 reported late Wednesday moving across eastern Kansas into Nebraska, Iowa and into Minnesota, according to Storm Prediction Center.
The tornadoes were accompanied by baseball-sized hail and vicious winds, and came in addition to rampant flooding that has forced hundreds from their homes in Iowa.
That's why Iowa has declared 54 counties disaster areas due to damage from the flooding and tornadoes.
Meanwhile, today in Lumajang, East Java, Indonesia there was an earthquake with 5.3 SR at 12:19 pm (West Indonesia Time) and before that the earthquake also happened in Ambon, Maluku with 5.2 SR.

Heard this news this morning, very big story, people usually call it the acts of God.
BEIJING — A powerful earthquake struck a mountainous region of western China on Monday, reportedly killing more than 8,500 people, including as many as 5,000 people in a single county, and trapping more than 900 students beneath a collapsed high school as tremors shook buildings throughout China and were felt as far away as Thailand and Vietnam, according to interviews and reports in China’s state media.
The earthquake was even stronger than the Tangshan earthquake of 1976, which killed more than 240,000 people died.
The 7.9 magnitude earthquake hit in Sichuan Province on Monday afternoon, and the death toll steadily increased throughout the evening, raising concerns that the number could go far higher.
Minutes after the western temblor, a second, smaller quake struck hundreds of miles away, in an outer district of Beijing. Thousands of office workers were evacuated, but no damage was reported in the city, which is preparing to play host to the Olympics in August.
The powerful initial quake struck at 2:28 p.m. local time, or 2:28 a.m. Eastern time, near Wenchuan County, according to China’s State Seismological Bureau. China’s massive Three Gorges Dam, located a few hundred miles east of the earthquake’s epicenter, reported no immediate problems. “There were no signs that the earthquake has affected the dam, and everything is going as usual,” Hu Xinge, an executive with the state-owned corporation operating the dam, told Xinhua.
More than 2,300 cell phone towers were knocked down by the quake, according to China Mobile, the country’s top carrier.
